Mike Singletary, the defensive leader of the 1985 Chicago Bears Super Bowl team and current Minnesota Vikings linebackers coach, has listed his Saratoga, CA home for $3,295,000.
Located approximately an hour south of San Francisco, Singletary and his wife lived in the home during his coaching stint with with San Francisco 49ers from 2005 to 2010. The 4,895 square-foot home features 6 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms and sits on over an acre of land. Highlights of the 2002-built house include a pool, spa, an outdoor kitchen, and a wood-paneled den. The home also has a spacious kitchen with an island, a spa bathtub in the master bathroom, and a bonus room. The property was originally listed for $3.998 million in July of this year and has taken numerous price cuts since then.
Known as “Samurai Mike” during his playing days for his focused and intimidating linebacker play, Singletary was named NFL Defensive Player of the Year twice and played a key role in Coach Mike Ditka’s 1985 Super Bowl win. He also rose to national prominence when Singletary (#50) and the other Bears players recorded “The Super Bowl Shuffle” music video just before the playoffs.
Singletary has used his Hall of Fame career to get himself hired as a coach for the Baltimore Ravens, San Francisco 49ers, and currently the Minnesota Vikings. Singletary is also an ordained minister and has co-authored several books.
