From one star to another — that’s usually how the celebrity real estate game is played… even withhomes for rent.
Former child star of “Malcolm in the Middle” Frankie Muniz attempted to sell his Hollywood Hills home beginning in 2010 for $3,295,000. After a series of price cuts, he decided to kick it instead into the Los Angeles rental market for $10,000 a month. Singer Cee Lo Green snatched up Muniz’s home up in March 2011. Best known for catchy hits like “Crazy” and “Forget You,” Cee Lo is currently a judge on NBC’s singing competition show, “The Voice.”
Although Cee Lo was dropping $10,000 a month for Muniz’s home, the monthly rent is currently listed at $15,000 a month. Perhaps Muniz was cutting Cee Lo a deal, or maybe Cee Lo’s star power helped raise the rent price?
Muniz’s home was completely remodeled and now features an open floor plan with custom cabinetry and a variety of high-end finishes including marble, granite, tile, hardwood floors, and Caesarstone countertops. Originally built in 1941, the 5-bedroom, 4-bathroom house has a professionally equipped kitchen, formal dining room, living room, and family room. The master suite is on the top floor of the 2-story home and includes high ceilings, a sitting area, fireplace, his-and-her closets, and a large master bath. Also included on the 0.17-acre lot is an ultra-private backyard with a swimming pool, spa, outdoor fireplace, and viewing deck that offers expansive views of the city.
Muniz picked up the home for 2006 for $3,499,034 when he was just 21 years old. He currently owns another home in Scottsdale.
