Lagasse's former New York City home has a more modest although still impressive kitchen. He has put his loft condo at the Beekman Regent building on East 51st Street on the market. The apartment, which is more than 4,000 square feet, is listed for $5.995 million with Nancy Candib of Brown Harris Stevens. Two adjacent apartments on the third floor were combined to make this spread which as a great room consisting of a large living room, formal dining room area and a chef's kitchen Adjacent to the great room there is a bedroom which could be used as a library-media room. There are two large master bedroom suites, and another couple of bedrooms. Because the home was once two apartments there are two kitchens and the listing says the smaller one could be used as a wet bar or large laundry room.

Celebrity chef Emeril Lagasse has decided to “kick it up a notch,” listing his Upper East Side townhome for $3.5 million more than he paid.
After only two years, Emeril’s home is back on the New York City real estate market with a $15 million price tag. According to the New York Post, Emeril bought the place in 2009 for $11.5 million, but is now looking for a smaller residence in the city.
The James Beard Award winner gained fame in the culinary world by showcasing his personal cooking style, which includes a flair for the dramatic. All that made him a star on Food Network shows Emeril Live!and Essence of Emeril.
Lagasse has come a long way since opening his first restaurant,Emeril’s, in New Orleans. The culinary tycoon has published numerous bestselling cookbooks and is now one of America’s most well-known television personalities. Not to mention his company the “Emeril Empire” of media, products and restaurants which generates an estimated $150 million annually in revenue. With that kind of cash, the celebrity chef can take a sweet bite out of the Big Apple real estate market.
Emeril’s Georgian-inspired townhouse boasts a whopping 6,900 square feet of living space, not including the additional 1,000 square feet of terraces and European-inspired stone garden. The 5-bedroom and 7-bathroom residence was recently rebuilt and features an elevator, wood-paneled wine cellar, four gas fireplaces, smart home technology, water filtration system, as well as ceiling heights “ranging up to 14 feet.”
Despite Emeril’s renowned culinary skills, the listing does not include a description of the impressive kitchen. Maybe the busy chef who has cooked up a storm over his illustrious career prefers not to take his work home with him, although that stainless steel range sure looks like it was made for a pro.
Listed by celebrity brokers Michele Kleier, Samantha Kleier Forbes and Sabrina Kleier-Morgenstern, we may have our chance to see the home featured on HGTV’s Selling New York.
