Jeff Nelson and Jamie Moyer crossed paths during their careers pitching for the Seattle Mariners. Then Moyer went on to defy Father Time by turning in some stellar seasons for the Philadelphia Phillies before arm troubles shut him down.
Nelson, meanwhile, still holds the M’s record for games pitched (383) after having worn the M’s uniform during three different stints. While both are now out of the big leagues, the former M’s hurlers still own Seattle-area homes — and both pitchers have those homes listed for sale in the Seattle area.

After his success in Seattle, Nelson caught the attention of the New York Yankees, with whom the right-hander made World Series appearances in 1996,1998, 1999, 2000. He was also selected to the American League All-Star team in 2001 as a Yankee.
Like many major leaguers who played for the Mariners and wound up loving Seattle, Nelson has made the Seattle area his home for most of his career. He bought a home in Carnation, located about 27 miles north of Seattle, in 1998 for $190,000. Twelve years later, Nelson listed the house for $2,400,000, then dropped the price to $2,250,000. Recently, the native Baltimorean dropped it another $250,000 to its current price of $2 million.
Nelson’s custom-built estate was featured as a Street of Dreams home when it was first constructed. The brick Tudor-style home sits three acres and includes play area, pool, sport court, butterfly garden and guest house. Nelson’s home has 7,860 square feet of living space, 5 bedrooms and 4.75 bathrooms.
