Mark Pincus may be focused on the launch of Zynga Inc.’s IPO later this week, but that has not stopped the internet entrepreneur from making waves in another exchange: the San Francisco real estate market. Fresh off of listing his Presidio Heights manse for $8.9 million, the social-gaming mogul and his wife have put a second home up for sale; a 2,875-square-foot property located on Shader St. in the affluent San Francisco, California neighborhood of Cole Valley. The couple isasking $1.97 million for the newly listed house.
Built in the 1940s, the multi-level home lies within walking distance of Haight-Ashbury and Buena Vista Park, and enjoys panoramic views of city and Golden Gate Bridge. Much like the Presidio Heights property, the interior of the three-bedroom, three-bathroom Cole Valley home has undergone a meticulous and modernized transformation thanks to the designer hand of Ms. Pincus, whose popular online home décor startup One Kings Lane raised more than $67 million from venture-capital and private-equity funding earlier this year. The property’s main level features a sweeping floor plan that includes a contemporary living room and side-nook design that runs into a relaxed dining area and streamlined kitchen, while the second-floor offers three bedrooms, including master suite with a glass-ensconced master bath and private walk-out patio deck.
Slated to publicly launch on Thursday, December 17th, analysts predict the Zynga IPO will raise anywhere from $850 million to $1.15 billion on the Nasdaq stock exchange, with 100 million of the tech company’s shares trading at anywhere from $8.50 to $10 a share. Founded by Pincus in 2007, Zynga has produced a slew of online gaming titles, of which some of the more popular are FarmVille, Mafia Wars and Words with Friends. The social network game developer boasts more than 200 million active users a month on Facebook.
