Yesterday, the 5-member committee charged with deciding the fate of the 150-acre lot narrowed a list of eight proposals down to two, NOLA.com reported.
Now, it looks like either a new amusement park or an upscale outlet mall could be built on the site, which has been under the city's control since 2009 when the Delaware court overseeing Six Flags' bankruptcy handed it over.
The proposed mall would cost $40 million to build, while the amusement park would run around $200 million.
