Harry Potter author J K Rowling has bought a lovely historical mansion in Tasmania, Australia. This Georgian mansion comes with over 2100 acres of farmland.
The house itself has seven bedrooms and a self-contained wing, and the landscaped gardens lead to the river. As it is still a working farm, there are plenty of outbuildings and even grain silos. Beautiful although a bit isolate location - but it seems to fit the style of the author, as she is known for not wanting to be in the spotlight very often.
