I must say that most house for sale in Malibu are rather cute and cozy, and of course come with lovely views of either the beach of the mountains, or if you are lucky both. Surprisingly the house of Jack Nicholson is no different - there is the cute little house - no fake French grandeur here but rather simple style.
Then comes the caretaker's house, the tennis court, pool, a grotto-style spa, putting green, even a kids playground. Add there plenty of land (70 acres) and views of the mountains - and the agent seems to hint that sea views are also on offer. All that for $4.25M does not seem so much compared to, say Mel Gibson's house in the neighbourhood.
Then again, looking inside the house one can notice that some updating is required (it doesn't help that the current decor is rather nondescript - I mean brown carpets and curtains in the bedroom and the tired bedding for example...). What I would be interested in hearing though is whether Mr. Nicholson has actually ever really lived here since he has about several other properties scattered around (sort of - since 3 of them are just in Colorado)?
