Season Four of the popular Bravo television series, “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” began recently and already the fur has started to fly. At the center of the battle is the epic struggle between Teresa Guidice and her sister-in-law, Melissa Gorga. Melissa, an aspiring singer, is married to Teresa’s burly brother Joe. Joe, a real estate developer, built their six-bedroom house in Montville Township, New Jersey in 2009. The home, which sits on 2.24 acres, was listed in November of 2009 for $4.1 million. It was taken off the market in 2010 but is now up for sale again for $3.8 million.
The lavish home is rich with upgrades including an English slate roof with copper gutters, an Italian marble foyer, dual marble staircases with wrought-iron bannisters, and rounded cedar French doors. The home is festooned with a multitude of chandeliers, carved bookcases, gilded details and domed ceilings. Two of the bedrooms are decorated for Gorga’s three children, one room is done in girly pink and another has a sports theme. The home also features a home theater and a library. Rumor has it that the family may be decamping to Los Angeles to pursue Melissa’s singing career. Given the fireworks on this season already, it seems her sister-in-law would probably not be sorry to see her go but the Gorga family might be sad to leave 13,500 square feet of space behind.
