In August 2010 the 6'5" 310-pound offensive tackle for the Seattle Seahawks purchased a 3,510 square foot home in the High Pointe Ridge community in Renton, Washington. Built in 2007, the home has five bathrooms, three full bathrooms and a half, and includes a sauna, two-car garage, double coffered ceilings, skylights, French doors, and Alderwood cabinetry.

Russell Okung was the 6th overall pick in the 2010 NFL Draft. The Seahawks signed him to a six-year, $58 million maximum amount contract on August 6, 2010.
