A Paradise Valley home owned by former Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kurt Warnerand his wife, Brenda, will be featured on HGTV next month in a show featuring homes with elaborate Christmas and holiday lights.
Christine Donnelly, a Realtor with HomeSmart International, hopes the exposure will spark interest in the seven-bedroom, 11,300-square-foot modern mansion that has been on the market since late June. The Warner home is listed at just under $5 million.
The Warners moved to a new home in Scottsdale, Donnelly said.
Kurt Warner is a former quarterback for the Cardinals and St. Louis Rams . He is now an analyst on the NFL Network.
ScottsdaleArizonaNews.com reports Warnerpurchased the home in March 2005 for $3.3 million.
Donnelly says she is friends with the couple and that it sometimes takes as long as a year to sell a large, contemporary mansion in the $5 million price range.
The house sits in an affluent, gated community off Cheney Drive in Paradise Valley near Scottsdale Road.
The home previously was owned by former Baltimore Orioles and Toronto Blue Jays baseball player Roberto Alomar.
In addition to the bedrooms, the contemporary home has 6.5 bathrooms. It was built in 2001 and has a feel that looks as much like Miami as its does Arizona. Click on the pictures to the right for a slide show on the Warners’ home.
The home includes a pool and spa as well as exercise, theater and billiards rooms.
Donnelly said listing the home in the summer added to its time on the market because those interested in that price range aren’t “summering” in Arizona.
Donnelly is experienced with celebrity listings. She has a lot for sale in the Scottsdale/PV submarket owned by actor Vince Vaughn’s parents.
