David Schwimmer joins his former “Friends” cast mates Jennifer Aniston and Matthew Perry in making real estate news, putting his Los Angeles home on the market for $10.7 million. The home, in the super tony and historic Hancock Park section of Los Angeles, is like many of its neighbors: a Mediterranean-style mansion built in the 1920′s.
Unlike its neighbors, Schwimmer’s house was designed by the architectural firm of Koerner & Gage, who also designed the Beverly Hills City Hall. It boasts 9 beds and 7 baths, with 11,000 square feet of living space, and a sizable lawn with a pool and patio. Inside are five fireplaces, a butler area, a wood-paneled library, screening room, and two powder rooms. Outside is the aforementioned pool, a tennis court, and a pavilion – not to mention the guest house which, according to the listing “provides a modern loft experience that accommodates a bedroom, living room, bathroom and kitchen.”
Post-”Friends,” Schwimmer has mostly eschewed on-camera work for directing, having helmed “Little Britain USA” and “Run, Fatboy, Run,” among others. He also provides the voice of Melman the giraffe in the popular “Madagascar” films. The actor married part-time photographer Zoe Buckman in 2010, with their first child, daughter Cleo, joining the family in May of 2011.
