Former street fighter turned professional mixed martial arts fighter, Kimbo Slice, was born in Nassau, Bahamas and grew up in the Miami, Florida area. Kimbo Slice, whose real name is Kevin Ferguson, rose to fame after a video tape of him winning a backyard fight was posted on various video sharing web sites in 2004.

In early 2007 Kimbo Slice started on his path to becoming a professional mixed martial arts fighter. Kimbo first trained at the Freestyle Fighting Academy in Miami, and then at Bas Rutten's training facility, EliteMMA, in Thousand Oaks, California. Kimbo defeated former boxing champion Ray Mercer at Cage Fury Fighting Championship 5 on June 23, 2007.

Two months after his victory over Ray Mercer, Kimbo Slice purchased this home in Coral Springs, Florida for $525,000.

Located in the Woodside Estates community, the home offers five bedrooms, four bathrooms, swimming pool, eat-in kitchen with granite and stainless steel, family room with vaulted ceilings, fireplace, master bedroom with two walk-in closets, and a whirlpool tub in the master bathroom. The home was built in 1988 and has 3,604 square feet.

After his victory over Ray Mercer, Kimbo Slice went on to win his next three pro MMA fights before losing to Seth Petruzelli at EliteXC: Heat on October 4, 2008.

In September of 2009 Kimbo Slice began starring in the Ultimate Fighting Championship's reality television series, The Ultimate Fighter: Season 10 on Spike.
