Brothers Daniel and James Cohen, whose grandfather was Arther Hays Sulzberger, just sold a family-owned apartment in the landmark San Remo building on the Upper West Side for $10.25 million, according to the New York Observer.

The buyers of the two-bedroom, three-bathroom apartment were Irving and Judith Shafran, a lawyer and book editor who apparently had to downsize from their Park Avenue apartment (initially listed at $24 million) amid losses connected to Bernie Madoff's ponzi scheme, the NYO said.

The apartment, which belonged to the Cohen's mother Judith Sulzberger, was initially listed at $12.5 million in April. The price had been reduced twice since then.

Another Sulzburger clan member, Arthur, the current publisher of the New York Times, bought a $4 million apartment on the Upper West Side in June.
