Actor Nicolas Cage is selling his mansion located on Bayshore Drive for a loss of $6.5 million. The waterfront home that has a clear view across the Lido Channel and the Main Channel fetched the highest price ever paid for an Orange County home when Cage bought it in January 2008. The mansion was then listed for $35 million and now Cage is asking for $28.5 million. The mansion is with the listing agent Rob Giem of Hom Real Estate Group and describes it “the finest waterfront residence on Newport Harbor.” The house sits on a 30,492-square-foot lot and consists of six bedrooms and nine bathrooms, and at night the rooms have a view down the coast all the way to Dana Point.
