A Look Inside Steven Seagal's $3.5M Home
He's the all-American action movie hero who's as tough off screen as on - but Steven Seagal is showing his softer side if his new home is anything to go by.
The 58-year-old star, who also owns a farm in Montana, has spent $3.5million (£2.26m) on a four bedroom, six bathroom hilltop property in Scottsdale, Arizona, sat in more than 12 acres of grounds.
It's described by the builders that made it as a 'spectacular soft contemporary home' and has been bought fully decorated and furnished.
Steven Seagal has bought this $3.5million house in the desert mountains near Scottsdale, Arizona
Rooms with a view: The home has four bedrooms and six bathrooms
A devout Buddist, it's thought that Steven was swayed by its lofty position in the desert mountains, with which he can view the nature around him. He currently lives in Brentwood, a wealthy suburb of Los Angeles in the hills overlooking Santa Monica.
The gushing estate agents spiel meanwhile says of his new house: 'Placed high on the ridge over looking the Chiricahua Golf Course at Desert Mountain, (the property has) views of the mountains, city lights and beautiful sunsets.
'Features of this residence include stone exterior, copper roof, extensive use of butted glass and interior stone columns to frame and enhance the views.'
Contemporary chic: The modern house sits in 12 acres of grounds, some of them landscaped with desert-loving plants
Splashing statement: The master bathroom sports some interesting decor
Heart of the home: The kitchen features an breakfast bar and a massive clock
The house also sports a master bedroom with a walk-in closet, pool, spa, gym, built-in barbecue and a 'golf room' featuring software & screen that allows the owner to 'play' at courses around the world.
In a gated community, the property also features a separate guest house with family room and kitchenette.
Mountain view: The lounge has panoramic windows to make the most of the magnificent scenery
No neighbours: There's not a house to be seen for miles around
Martial arts fan Seagal, who is currently a 7th dan degree and Shihan in aikido, started out as a stunt fight co-ordinator on movies including James Bond films View To A Kill and Never Say Never Again, before making his acting debut in 1987 in Above The Law.
The Under Siege star then went on to millions over the years from his all action blockbusters, which have also included Hard To Kill and Exit Wounds, as well as this year's cult classic Machete.
He married fourth wife Erdenetuya last year and is currently on screen in the U.S. in reality TV show Steven Seagal: Lawman.
It sees Steven carrying out duties as a reserve deputy sheriff in Jefferson Parish, Louisiana.
He explained in the first episode, which was broadcast in December last year: 'I've been working as an officer in Jefferson Parish for two decades under most people's radar...I believe it's important to show the nation all the positive work being accomplished here in Louisiana - to see the passion and commitment that comes from the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office in this post-Katrina environment.'
Although he has full police and arrest powers, Seagal's current rank of reserve deputy chief is said to be largely ceremonial.
Lofty aspirations: The other view of the home's lounge
Extravagant: The master bedroom features some luxurious if rather chintzy decor
Open fire: The living room features a leather chimney breast
