Ray Allen House. Boston Celtics Ray Allen House

Ray Allen Selling His $3.7M Estate in Carnation, WA

Former Seattle SuperSonic Ray Allen, now with the Boston Celtics, is attempting to sell his Craftsman-Style home for the 3rd time. The 10,630 sq-ft mansion is just outside Seattle and sits on nearly 4.5 acres. It wasoriginally on the market in August of 2008 for $6M and again in November ’08 for $5.2M. Now Allen is trying to sell it again for a 3rd time and has put his former abode back on the market for $3.7M.

The custom estate has 5 bedrooms, 8 bathrooms, 6 fireplaces, a formal living & dining room, 3 family rooms, mud room, 2 laundry rooms, and a generator to keep the power on in stormy weather. Custom touches include the very elegant wood-paneled office with built-in desk and shelving, a yoga/pilates room with rubber-mat flooring and a full-height mirror, and an eight-seat theater room with surround sound and wet bar. The kitchen has an attached great room with a floor-to-ceiling cobblestone fireplace. Off that, there’s a wrap-around deck offering a private covered outdoor sitting area with custom draperies.

Allen lived here with his wife and 3 children during his 4 year contract with Seattle (2003-2007), and there is just as much fun to be had for any family outside as there is inside too. The property comes complete with a full-size basketball court, tennis court & putting green, a play house for the kids, hot tub, swimming pool, circular drive, 6 car garage, and a private gated entry.

When Allen originally purchased the estate for $2.3M back in 2003 he had made several customizations, including an extravagant addition to the master suite. The master suite now has a double-sided fireplace, attached office & nursery, 2 room-size walk-in closets fully equipped with built-in closet systems, a spa-like bathroom with travertine-tile & a free-standing jetted soaking tub, walk-through double-headed shower, separate water closet and two complete vanities.

Since moving from Seattle Ray Allen has been in Boston with the Celtics since the 2007-2008 season. Earlier this year, he signed a $20M dollar, two-year contract extension, which will allow him to keep playing for the Celtics through the end of the 2011-2012 season.

No one wants to buy Ray Allen's house

Ray's house

Ray has been trying to sell his house in Seattle for a while now. Makes sense, since he hasn't exactly lived in Seattle for a while and we know he's not going back there in a trade or anything (sorry Sonics fans... low blow).

So what do you get for your $3.7 million bucks? Here's the listing (via Terez Owens):

A private well irrigation system maintains exceptional nearly 4.5 acre grounds with sports court, pool with exterior kitchen cabana, putting green, jacuzzi, play structure

C'mon... it's only going to cost you about $22k a month to own it. More pictures after the jump:
