Casey Anthony lawyer Jose Baez has spoken exclusively toWTSP television in Tampa, indicating that he would like to personally thank the jurors who acquitted his client of murdering her toddler daughter, Caylee Anthony.

The jurors' names werereleased to the public Tuesday, more than three months after the acquittal that angered many members of the public. The emotions expressed across the country prompted Judge Belvin Perry to call for a "cooling off period" in publicly releasing the names.

Baez, the lead defense attorney in the case, admonished the news media for trying to reach the 12 main jurors and five alternatives, most of whom have avoided the public spotlight.

"They made their decision," he said just outside his office in Kissimmee, Fla. "Let it go already."

He admonished news organizations that published the names.

"I think it's absurd. They didn't ask to be jurors. They were picked," Baez said.

Baez declined to discuss his client, who remains undercover as she completes one year of probation on check fraud charges.

The home of Casey Anthony

The Crime Scene Investigation unit processed every piece of evidence in the Case against Casey Anthony, but how much of that evidence will a jury actually see?

We're looking at the deposition of Michael Vincent, an assistant CSI supervisor with the Orange County Sheriff's Office.

  • Note: We’re selecting the documents that are relevant to this story.

He's been there for all of it, including the dig in the Anthonys backyard, processing Casey's car, and was even out at the crime scene when human remains were found.

In Vincent's deposition, we're able to uncover how Casey's defense is coming together.

Casey's car is one of the biggest pieces of evidence prosecutors will try to use against her.

Jose Baez: What did the car smell like?
Vincent: It smelled like a dead body.
Baez: And how do you know that?
Vincent: Through my experience of dealing with a lot of decompositions.
Baez: How many decomposing bodies have you encountered in your career?
Vincent: Probably anywhere from 30 to 40.
Baez: And how many cars have you dealt with that you've processed that had a bag of garbage in the trunk for 3 weeks?
Vincent: Never.

Science will play a starring role in Casey’s trial, if that science ends up being admitted.

This week, we will hear more in court about air samples taken from the trunk of Casey's car.

According to Vincent, taking those samples was Detective Yuri Melich's idea, despite Vincent's 20 years of CSI experience.

Baez: Have you ever done anything of that nature?
Vincent: Done what?
Baez: Collect air samples.
Vincent: No. That's the first time I had any dealings with collecting air samples.

The lab in Tennessee that processed those air samples is the subject of the story we’ll bring you Tuesday.

That same lab looked for buried human remains from the Charles Manson case in California, and that search happened just a few years ago.

What did they find? And what's the connection with the Casey Anthony case? Find out at 4 p.m. Tuesday.

On Wednesday, there are scheduled to be three days of critical scientific hearings in the case against Casey.

Attorneys on both sides will debate hair found in the trunk Casey's car, the so-called "smell of death" in the trunk and the alleged presence of chloroform.

The judge will decide if this evidence will or will not be heard by the jury in Casey's upcoming murder trial.

Casey Anthony Trial

Casey AnthonyCasey Anthony case – Incest issues, paternity tests, capital murder charges, aggravated child abuse, clinical manslaughter of a child, misleading the law enforcement… and the plot grows thicker!

Casey Anthony (25), accused of killing her 2-year-old daughter Caylee, has been further indicted with six other charges including forgery, child neglect, hindrance to criminal investigation, deceptive use of personal information, and theft. If the jury gives verdict against her in the murder trial, she could be either sentenced to life imprisonment or handed the death penalty. The prosecutor however, has pleaded for the latter, if convicted.

Jurors failed to give their verdict on Monday (July 4) in the Casey Anthony murder trial. After listening to 33 days of witnesses and 2 days of closing arguments (which says that the death was ‘an accident that snowballed out of control’), the jury, comprising 7 women and 5 men, was asked to give their verdict on Monday, by the judge. They deliberated for more than 6 hours yesterday but failed to decide the fate of the 25-year-old mother. Today, they are again scheduled to resume the deliberation at 8.30 in the morning.

It was in the month of June 2008 that the disappearance of 2-year-old Caylee Marie Anthony grasped media attention and in due course, its proceedings shell-shocked all those who followed the trial diligently. Her mother, Casey Anthony was the one, who came into focus to be pointed the finger at. Six months later, after George Anthony, the father of the indicted, reported his granddaughter’s disappearance, the skeletal remains of the baby girl were discovered from a nearby forest. George told a cop that he had found a chemical signature and a bad damp smell in Casey’s lost car a few days earlier the remains were found. On October 14, 2008, Casey was arrested on the charge of felony.

casey anthony & cayleeAccording to Casey’s attorneys, Caylee was drowned in the house pool. After finding that, both Casey and her father panicked and decided to make her death look like a murder. They covered duct tape over Caylee’s mouth and neck and dumped the corpse in a swamp from the nearby woods. Though, George denied that later on.

Casey Anthony is represented by defense attorneys Cheney Mason, along with Jose Baez and William Slabaugh. While numerous pictures already circulating on the internet show inappropriate body language from Casey, there has been no change of behavior from her. According to a blog from Dr. Lillian Glass, known as “The First Lady of Communication” who is one of the world’s most well-respected Body Language Expert, Casey is seen touching and making flirtatious acts with Mason. According to Dr Glass, Casey is manipulating Mason like several other men she might have manipulated over her life. She also criticized the attorney of being equally unprofessional touching his client. She reports Mason has been affected by her blog and had tried to defend himself by saying “I don’t care what the prognosticators and the idiot bloggers have to say or what the idiot bloggers will say about this.

On the entire incident, prosecutor Jeff Ashton remarked, “People don’t make accidents look like murder, that’s absurd. Nothing has been presented to you to make that any less absurd.”

On June 10, the trial took a much significant turn with Orange County chief medical examiner Dr. Jan Garavaglia adding drama to the already famous court-room histrionics. The coroner who appears on Discovery Health Channel show “Dr. G: Medical Examiner”, stated that from the evidences found, the only logical conclusion she could draw is – a murder. Cheney Mason vehemently protested in reply to which Jan said “There’s the fact that her death wasn’t reported. Accidental deaths are reported unless there is a reason for it not to be.” She also added saying numerous systematic observational studies showed that accidental drownings are reported to authorities “100 percent of the time.” On Mason’s refusal to accept her studies she shot back saying “There’s also the presence of the duct tape. No child should have duct tape on its mouth when it dies.”

Even though, the motive of the homicide is still undetermined, according to many it should be blamed on Casey’s party-girl lifestyle, which was hindered much due to the toddler’s presence and the need for continuous attention.

In the social media space as well, people from different parts of the world are discussing the trial. Different social media profiles are created only to give updates on this case. Platforms like Twitter andFacebook are being randomly used for criticizing the insanity of a mother while some are organizing pools, to allow people to vote for the possible verdict of the Orlando case jury. But it is not as easy as it sounds, since it involves the life of a 25-year-old woman. Judge Belvin Perry asked the jurors to get a good night sleep only to resume the deliberation on the most-talked about murder trial, not only in Orlando, but also in the USA. They are provided with all the evidences in their rooms, except for the videos, which they will be able to watch once they will enter into the Orange County Courthouse.

The entire world is awaiting the final verdict, which is about to be declared within a few hours.

Update

The final verdict reached in Casey Anthony case on Tuesday evening had shaken the entire USA and the rest of the world when the jury announced that Casey has been acquitted of the charge of first-degree murder of her daughter. The verdict has put an end to Caylee Anthony murder case with a disappointing note for everyone, who was meticulously following the trial . On Twitter, people started tweeting on the shocking result of the trial with hashtags like #notguilty, #shock, and #caseyanthonyverdict. It’s quite evident that Casey’s being ‘not guilty’ has not gone well with the social media regulars, but there is hardly anything anyone can do. The final verdict, unfortunately, is given.
