After shelling out $24 million to build a luxury mansion on the Miami waterfront, New York Yankees slugger Alex Rodriguez is looking to shed his modern architectural masterpiece.
The Bronx Bomber may have originally intended to use the property to serve as a love nest for then girlfriend Cameron Diaz; however, the power couple split before the 19,861-square-foot property was finished. Now, A-Rod aims to turn a tidy profit on the oceanfront home after listing it in August for a cool $38 million.
A-Rod’s property is quite the spectacle both inside and out. Clean lines, open terraces and rows of glass merge to create a sleek and streamlined façade, while the interior of the 9-bedroom, 11-bathroom abode takes on an organic feel thanks to the incorporation of native coral rock and white oak into the design.
In terms of amenities, A-Rod once again hits it out of the park. Ultimate privacy is provided thanks to a 16-camera security system, walled perimeter and 275-feet of private frontage that boasts a pair of docks. In the entertainment department, the Yankees third baseman rounds things out with a 3,000-square-foot sporting facility, including a batting cage, a billiards room, theatre, and an epic infinity pool- outdoor kitchen patio setup.
