Whether Jason Terry’s time with the Dallas Mavericks has officially come to an end remains to be seen; however, it would appear the player fondly known as ‘JET’ is already making plans for his future. Terry, a veteran of 13 NBA seasons who began his career with the Atlanta Hawks before being dealt to Dallas, has put Atlanta, GA estate up for sale, listing the property for $1.89 million.
Built in 2000, Terry’s contemporary, brick-lined estate has no shortage when it comes to space with a sprawling 6,325-square-foot floor plan with a total of seven bedrooms and nine bedrooms. It’s also not lacking in the amenities department, what with its in-house barber shop and beauty salon, movie theatre, exercise room, and what appears to be a ‘Pantheon of Basketball Greatness’ that includes a massive wrap-around wet bar. Also found within the property is a main floor master suite that boasts a sitting room and fireplace, and a chef’s kitchen, while the backyard offers a swimming pool with waterfall, covered patio and an outdoor fireplace.
An integral part of the Arizona Wildcats’ championship run in 1997, Terry would eventually be selected 10th overall in the 1999 draft by the Hawks. He would play five seasons in Atlanta before being acquired by Dallas in a deal that sent Antoine Walker to the Hawks. While with the Mavs, Terry would develop into one of the premier sixth men in the league, winning the NBA’s award for such in 2009, and later helping Dallas capture the franchise’s first championship in 2011. A 6-year contract he signed with the team in 2006 is set to expire at season’s end, making JET an unrestricted free agent for only the second time in his career.
