Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi's spread in Beverly Hills has officially hit the MLS today with a somewhat surprising listing price. A listing first appeared on Westside Estate Agency's website back in May, with that old tease "price available on request," and Real Estalker heard rumors then that the main house was going for $49 million while the whole thing was asking $60 million. The legit compound includes a 9,200 square foot main house, two guesthouses totaling about 15,000 square feet, a three bedroom house, and, according to the listing, "every conceivable amenity and state-of the-art security." And it's all on 2.87 acres off of Coldwater Canyon, behind gates on its own street. RE estimates that the pair laid out about $48 million to assemble the estate starting in 2007. And now, according to Redfin, the asking price on the whole damn thing is just $49 million.

The talk-show host and her wife, Portia de Rossi-DeGeneres, are putting their Beverly Hills estate on the market for a mere $60 million dollars, according to real estate blog, The Real Estalker.
They originally bought the 9,000-square-foot main house in 2007 from "Will & Grace" co-creator Max Mutchnick for $29 million. A year later, for privacy's sake, they bought the three surrounding houses for a combined $19 million, bulldozing one of them to create a private park.
Two asking prices are being bandied about, sources told Real Estalker. The main house -- with separate guest and staff quarters -- and the property's extensive grounds will go for $49 million. Add another $11 million, and they'll throw in the two additional houses adjacent to their property.
The estate has hosted both good and bad times for the DeGenereses.
They held their intimate wedding ceremony there in August 2008, but it was also the scene of a bizarre trespassing case last February, when Karen Grace Sjoden was arrested after being found hiding on the kitchen deck one morning.
Sjoden pleaded no contest to misdemeanor trespassing, got probation and was told not to contact the couple.
