Hakeem Nicks, wide receiver for the New York Giants, was born and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina. Nicks set several school records during his four years playing at the University of North Carolina before being drafted by the Giants in 2009. In August of that year, Nicks signed a five-year, $12.54 million contract with the Giants which included $6.5 million in signing bonuses. In March of 2010 Hakeem Nicks paid $940,000 for a home just south of Charlotte, North Carolina in the town of Waxhaw. Built in 2006, the two-story brick & stone home has six bedrooms, six bathrooms and one half, and offers an exercise room, home theater, billiard area, oasis heated pool, spa, outdoor grill, and 5,510 square feet.
