Major League Baseball relief pitcher Alan Embree was born in The Dalles, Oregon. Alan Embree joined the Colorado Rockies in 2009 but was injured in July of the same year when his right tibia was broken as the result of a line drive hit by Atlanta Braves' second baseman Martin Prado. Two months later and fresh out of his cast, Embree purchased a home in Bend, Oregon for $1,495,000. Built in 2006, the 4,903 square foot home is set on over ten acres and offers six bedrooms, five bathrooms, heated RV garage, an upstairs unit with a kitchen, and breathtaking views of Mt Bachelor.
