Just a few weeks after New York Yankees All-Star Nick Swisher and actress Joanna Garcia announced their engagement in May 2010, Nick purchased a home in Joanna's hometown of Tampa, Florida. Located in Tampa's Avila Golf & Country Club community, the young couple's recently-constructed Mediterranean-style home which came with a $2,957,500 price tag, has five bedrooms, four full bathrooms and four half, marble and wood floors, swimming pool, outdoor fireplace, and 7,124 square feet.

community shortly after becoming engaged to Joanna Garcia.Included with the sale is a 3/4 acre vacant lot next to the home which brings the total land area to one and a half acres. Nick Swisher also owns a luxury condo in Scottsdale, Arizona which he purchased in October 2008.
Joanna Garcia has starred on the hit television sitcom Reba from 2001–2007 as Cheyenne Hart-Montgomery, and is now starring on the new romantic comedy television series on ABC Better with You.
