In July 2006 NHL star center Eric Staal signed a three year, $13.5 million contract with the Carolina Hurricanes. In September 2008, Staal's exceptional efforts were rewared with a new seven year, $57.75 million contract starting with the 2009-2010 season. Two months after signing the new deal Eric Staal paid $1,850,000 for this 7,769 square foot brick home in Raleigh, North Carolina's Chatsworth subdivision.
